With me, what you see is what you get.  If you ask me a question, you will get an answer.  All my life I have worked hard, and I am ready to work hard for you. 

Fifteen years ago, I moved to Arcata with my three sons to live in a small university town.
I am self-employed as a landscaper.
I am a U.S. Army Veteran, a former Labor Union Leader, and a former school teacher.

I am the only candidate for the Third District 
who ran for office and was elected to our local government.

I have a long history of working in local government, both as a volunteer and as an elected official.

I started attending City Council meetings as soon as I came to Humboldt.
I have been actively involved in our city government for over 11 years.
In 2004, I was elected to the Arcata City Council.
I will serve my full term (four years) as an Arcata City Councilmember.
(The County Supervisor position starts in January 2009)
I am running for County Supervisor because that is where I feel I can do the most good for Humboldt County.
I will NOT be running for re-election to the Arcata City Council.

In support of campaign finance reform, I am not taking any financial contributions.  I am not soliciting or taking any endorsements, and will have no advertising or lawn signs.
